  • The SES Group are proud to offer the chance to train members of the public in the use of defibrillators. Villagers are being given the chance to get trained to use this life-saving equipment.

Sherburn-in-Elmet Parish Council are urging residents to get involved in free training sessions for the two public access defibrillators in the village. Sessions take place every Tuesday, at the Eversley Park Centre. The sessions are organised and run by the SES Group.

The British Heart Foundation say that during a cardiac arrest, a patient’s chances of survival are quadrupled if CPR and a defibrillator are used within three to five minutes of it first striking.

The SES Group are hopeful to start offering out these training services across more communities throughout the UK, in the hope of training more people how to save lives.

Those wishing to take part in the training sessions in Sherburn should email clerk@sherburninelmet-pc.gov.uk

Grant Palmer – 1st Team Manager says: “We are excited to be part of this unique partnership with the SES Group, it helps us to develop our players further in our quest to play football at the highest level of the female game in the coming seasons and also importantly promote the club to the wider female community in and around Harlow to encourage them be part of the fastest growing team sport in the UK.”
