The Wireless 2016 Festival

 

The Wireless Festival returned to Finsbury Park, London for a lively weekend of pop, dance, urban and R&B music, reinforcing its standing as one of the Londons musical focal points. The event has been going since 2005 and this year ran the complete weekend from the 8 – 10 July and featured The1975, Calvin Harris, KYGO and many more artists.
The client, Festival Republic, were very happy with our service and the high level of communication between individuals and teams.

The audience numbers were 25,000 44,000 and 35,00 for the 3 day weekend event, a very mixed audience consisting of young energetic music lovers and the added challenges of gang culture which was evident throughout the festival.

It was the first time the SES Group have worked on this event and we had more security staff on site than any other company also working on the event.

The three main challenges of this event was the short notice from the client, the site layout issues and the different types of audience to be managed. Despite the hot and muggy weather and increased gang activity the crimes reported were down from last years event.
